We approach learning a little differently at Connect.
Help us by getting our students out of the classroom and into the community.
EXPO launches August, 2017. Building on the spirit of inquiry, Connect Charter School students are going beyond the walls of the classroom to make purposeful learning connections in their community.
Our goal is $100,000. We understand that every family is in a unique financial position - for some $25 may be the maximum; while others have already made a donation of $1,000 or more towards a bus. EVERY DONATION COUNTS!
Top reasons to donate:
- Tax receipts Connect Charter School is a registered charity. This means that you get a tax receipt for every donation over $25. This also means that grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, and anyone else in your circle can donate and get a tax receipt.
- Matching grant On June 15, the EXPO Parent Advisory Grants Committee will be submitting a grant application for a Community Initiatives Program Grant ("CIP") from the Government of Alberta, worth up to $150,000. Donated money (and possible matching grant dollars) will be used to help lease or buy a bus and trailer, to develop Connect Charter School's unique Mobile Learning Lab. Any money that parents donate for transportation and other program costs, frees up the school's operational budget, for staffing and other program resources.
- Matching donations Many companies offer an employee donation matching program. For most, it's as simple as sending your donation form to your HR department, and asking that they match your donation. Check today!
- United Way beneficiary program. Did you know that you can specify Connect Charter School as the beneficiary of your donations through United Way? Email firstname.lastname@example.org for details to set up your corporate/personal giving.
It's easy. Thank you for supporting EXPO!
