Fee Procedures

  1. TIMELINE FOR SETTING FEES
    Fees for transportation and enrichment shall be established by the Board on an annual basis prior to April 30 for the following school term.
  2. BURSARY
    Parents or guardians requiring assistance with the payment of fees may apply to the principal for a bursary by providing proof of Alberta Health Care Subsidy or other requested documentation.
  3. TRANSPORTATION FEE SCHEDULE

    • Late Fee: The late fee will be charged for each child registered after April 21, 2017. For families that are offered spots after April 21, 2017, the late fee will be waived if they register for transportation at the same time as they register for Connect.
    • Pro-rated Fees: The $750 fee will be reduced for those registering after Sept 30, 2017. The reduction is $75 for each full month that has been missed with August and September being treated as one month.
    • Pro-rated Refunds: Refunds are given according to the date that written notice of withdrawal is given to the school office and not according to bus usage. The refund will be the amount that has been paid less $100 and less $75 for each month, full or partial, of registration. (August and September shall be treated as one month.)
    • There is no refund for withdrawal after March 31, 2018.
    • The late fee is not refunded.
  4. ENRICHMENT FEE REFUND
    • Students withdrawing from the school prior to or during the school term shall be refunded enrichment fees on a prorated basis of 10% for each month or portion thereof attended, less a 15% administration fee.
    • Students registering after the beginning of the school year shall be charged enrichment fees on a prorated basis of 10% for each month of portion thereof attended, or a minimum of $100. (August and September shall be treated as one month.)
  5. LUNCHROOM
    • There shall be no refunds provided for lunch fees for withdrawal from the school.
    • Parents will be charged the full lunchroom fee for that school year, regardless of when they register in the school.
  6. LAPTOP/IPAD INSURANCE AND MAINTENANCE
    • The school society self-insures the student laptops and iPads. There are no refunds or pro-rated portions of this fee. This fee is used to cover non-warranty damages and maintenance costs for the student laptops.
